SHERMAN, Tex. -- Appliances were stolen from three vacant homes in Sherman. Police say the thefts happened sometime after March 28.

Two refrigerators and a washer and dryer were taken from homes near FM 1417. They are foreclosed homes, but police say the former owners are not suspects.

"At this point and time we don't believe it's going to be the prior residents because of the fact that they went into three vacant homes. But detectives are following up on leads to try to determine who took the property," Sherman Police Sgt. Bruce Dawsey says.

If caught, the person responsible will face burglary charges.

Doesn't the washer, dryer, and refrigerator usually move with the family? I've never bought a home with those type of appliances in it. (?)
