ARDMORE, Okla. -- A young child has been hit by a vehicle in Ardmore Wednesday afternoon. Robin Beal reports from Mercy Memorial Hospital in Ardmore.

The child was taken to the emergency room after she was hit by an Ardmore school bus shortly after 3:30 in the 400 block of B-Street Southeast.

A man on the scene who identified himself as that victim's father said his only daughter, one-year-old Sierra Page, had been hit by the school bus somehow. He tearfully described her as bleeding and she was transported by ambulance to the hospital.

We also know the child was transported by ambulance here to the emergency room in Ardmore and has now been flown to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City in critical but stable condition.

Lisa obviously has no children of her own... what a hateful, judgemental thing to say! You can borow my kids for a few days, and see just how hard it is to keep a hand on them every single millisecond of the day. Or maybe you do have kids and they're just very lazy.

Where were this little girls parrents when she was in the road. the bus driver shouldn't be the one to be punished, her parents should. they shouldn't be alloud to see her ever again, then maybe they would feel what its like to get hit by a bus, and be so little and not know what to do but cry. they should be the ones thrown in jail for child indangerment.

Being a bus driver myself I have been reading these comments with the intentions of writing. But I also could not have said it better than AliceIn. I am so glad someone put it the way she did. I do not know this bus driver but he looked very distraught and I will venture to said he will probably not ever want to drive a bus again. It is not an easy job. I tell my kids all the time to walk far enough in front of the bus that they can see me because if they cannot see me I cannot see them. It is sad about the child and my prayers have been for both the child and the bus driver.
