CARTER COUNTY, Okla. - In an update now to a story we first brought you Tuesday night about allegations of abuse at the Crystal Rock Cathedral Day Care in Ardmore, the church has apparently hired a new spokesman.

After allegations of abuse at the Crystal Rock Cathedral Day Care in Ardmore, the church has apparently hired a new spokesman.

That spokesman is from a law firm out of Oklahoma City.

No explanation was given for the switch, and the daycare remains under investigation by both Ardmore Police and the Department of Human Services.

I am appalled that parents are attacking other parents for standing up for their children. Who really cares about a church or the politics, I think that the CHILD is being forgotten in all the controversey. If you have a child in that daycare and are happy, then all is well, that is your decision, but if you are not being informed of the whole story you deserve to have the facts before you can make a sound decision to leave your child there. My church and family are all praying for this child and its family. That is the CHRISTIAN thing to do, lets not forget that part.

I live far away from OK, and rec'd the story on myspace. Which lead me here to see if it is true. If anyone church or other talked to or did those kind of things to my child, I would be the one on the news. You people need to open your eyes, It's not the mom's fault nor the child's fault for trusting a church daycare. Why are you jumping on her for getting the word out, you should be thankful. WWJD? What would you do if that was your baby? You can't honestly believe no one in that center didn't see anything going on??? Shame on you Ardmore. Shame on you!! PS They hired a lawyer because their hands are in the cookie jar.. I hope that mom sues.

Have you ever stopped to think that they hired a lawyer because the mom spread this all over the internet? I think it's slander because it's been handled appropriately but the mom keeps bashing the whole facility all over the internet.

Lets use common sense here people...if the child was being slammed against wall and shaken like the e-mail circulating says why would the other worker who recorded this on her phone not stop it! If I see a child being abused last thing I'm going to do is pull my phone out and try to record it...I'M GOING TO STOP IT!!! Wait till the full story comes out I'm sure theres more to it than we know. FYI I am a very proud parent who had their child there for four years and he was treated well and loved it!

If any of you have ever had any dealings with DHS you know why they needed another lawyer. Whith those folks you are guilty when they come out. Don't confuse them with facts. Someone can get angry with you and just point a finger and you are tried by the public before the facts are brought out. Let's wait untill the "rest of the story," is told to pass judgement on these people and the church. Comments made by a unreliable or unknown sorces do not make it a fact.

WWJD? Come on now? (sticks finger down throat) Right now I dont think it matters what he would do. An innocent child was hurt and whatever the church, daycare, and the worker have coming to them deserve every bit of it...

They should hire Ryan Seacrest. He's really good at this sort of thing.
