FANNIN COUNTY, TX -- A weekend stabbing in Fannin County leaves one man dead and another behind bars. Stephanie Brletic reports.

Fannin County Sheriff Kenneth Moore says the stabbing happened sometime after dark on Sunday and it didn't take them long find their suspect and get him in custody.

Moore says 19-year-old Bo Bailey Harris of Gober was arrested Monday night after he admitted to stabbing 22-year-old William Ian Adams of Greenville.

Moore says his office was contacted Monday night by the Greenville Police Department after two people reported a possible homicide in Fannin County, even giving the name and address of a suspect. That was when Moore says deputies headed to the home and found Harris. He says the two men were acquaintances.

"They knew one another, now how well they knew one another is yet to be determined. We don't know how long they've known each other, if they're close personal friends or if it's a relationship that just struck up over the last few days or months," Sheriff Moore says.

Moore says during questioning, Harris told deputies where to find the body on County Road 3735. They also found bloody butcher knife at the scene.

Moore expects Harris to be charged with first degree murder on Wednesday.

This is the first murder this year for Fannin County.

William was was always a good guy. We became good friends during high school. We had some arguments during our friendship but he always wanted to make sure those around him had everything they needed. I know as well as anyone that he could definitely start an argument but for the coward from Bonham to suggest that William said or did something that warranted his death is insane. Are you speaking on behalf of your church when you suggest there is an acceptable motive for murder in God's eyes? Was Bo with members of the church he broke into houses and stole for drugs? Bo is obviously mentally ill and I hope God and the judge take this in to consideration when the time comes. I remember William daily for all the kindness he and his family showed me over the years. We are truly from a troubled generation.

Bo is a wonderful, normally happy young man. He has good relationships with other people generally. He is loved by so many of us. We don't know why this awful event has transpired. It is a loss for two families. May GOD bless us all and help us all through this. Bo is my son and all of us that know him know that he is truely a good natured person. Our family is truely sorry to the family and friends of William Adam's for their loss and may GOdD be with them in their time of need and always. The Harris Family

I went to both school and church with Bo as well as both of his grandparents. Jim and Carol im praying for both of you and Bo, as well as Williams family, i pray that God heals Bo's heart and mind and shows Bo the way through this difficult time. Jim and Carol keep praying, and do not give up on Bo!! John 14:6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

i am concerned about the comment describing animal torture and death. i am concerned that the person who posted the comment knew about it and did NOTHING to report it. not only is it cruel and unthinkable ... not only is it entirely illegal ... and not only is it heartbreaking ... but it is an absolute characteristic of people who go on to murder other people. regardless of the circumstances of the crime, there were signs that you witnessed and you did nothing to report it? lesson learned? i hope so. the heinousness of the crime speaks for itself, of course, and i know it must be hard to know what to do when you see someone torturing animals, especially a friend, but please tell someone that can help the person if you see it again. please.

Yes, there is a child dead, but the ones under suspect for his death, if you ALL recall, did not confess as Mr. Harris did. So I do not think that you can pull the race card on this one! Both cases are very sad,and very upsetting, but before you go throwing around accusations maybe you should know what you are talking about first.

I agree with Ava...this is NOT the first murder in Fannin County!!! They hung a baby and beat him. Get your story straight. Maybe color is a factor in murders now a days???
