SHERMAN, TX - School is close to letting out for the summer, and if you're looking for something to keep your kids busy, look no further.

TCOG’s '2-1-1 Texas' has a summer program guide for families.

It's a list of summer activities for kids in Grayson, Fannin and Cooke Counties.

Judy Fullylove is a manager for 2-1-1 Texas and says this guide makes summer planning easy for parents.

“Our goal is to help families find resources and fun things to do with their children throughout the summer. And to take advantage of some of the local attractions we have.”

The guides will be distributed at area schools and sent home with children.

Look for them in the next few weeks.

What about those of us who don't send our children to public schools, but would still like to find out about local summer activities? Guess we're out of luck?
