ARDMORE, Okla. -- It’s an unusual way to bring in a lot of extra money for an Ardmore private school, and it could bring a lot of extra money to your bank account, too.

The Oak Hall Episcopal School is selling chances to win $10,000. It is all part of a raffle designed to supplement the school's funding.

The head of Oak Hall says tuition pays for about 70% of the institution's operating costs. The rest has to be made up through grants and fundraisers.

In years past, the school has raffled off cars.

"I think that everyone's heard about the hardships Americans are facing with rising gas prices and food prices, and we just thought that a cash prize would be more appealing," the school’s head, Laura Gallagher, says.

Those raffle tickets cost $50 each. If you want one, call the Oak Hall School in Ardmore.

Gotta pay tax on that money if you win! $50 is a tank of gas, you don't win, you're out a tank of gas!
