KINGSTON, Okla. -- In a look at how the marinas are doing one year after the floods of 2007, Ryan Loyd revisits Soldier Creek Marina, where people are dealing with more than just flood recovery.
Soldier Creek Marina is dealing with a double whammy. First, the flood, and then more severe weather that brought with it high winds and more rain.
"This is the second time. It put us behind schedule," Bob Sanders at Soldier Creek Marina says.
Bob Sanders says the cleanup is slow going, especially since the latest round of weather stormed through. The restaurant is running smoothly. The gas dock shifted over but is now back in place, and life otherwise is okay, with the exception of more work to come.
It's nothing Sanders says he can't handle. The rebuilding just comes one day at a time.
"Nothing is routine out here. You just get the job done."
