MADILL, OK -- A local soldier returns home after spending 22 months serving overseas. As a U.S. Army reservist, Sean Oliver served in Kuwait and Iraq. His family welcomed him homeSunday afternoon to celebrate at the Ray Williams Memorial Park in Madill.
The festivities were just in time for Memorial Day. Oliver says he is thrilled to be home after defending our freedom.
"It's nice because I get to come home and see all of my family together and it's right before the kickoff of summer, so I get to relax and go and enjoy myself," he says.
Oliver plans to run for a seat in the Oklahoma State Legislature.
