BRYAN CO., OK -- A teenager is in serious condition from a six wheeler injury. Troopers say Weston White, 15 of Mesquite, Texas ran a stop sign and collided with a Chevy Suburban.

White was ejected from the vehicle and landed about 20 feet away on Albany Road. Life Flight crews flew White to Parkland in Dallas with head, arm, and leg injuries.

He's listed in stable condition.

The driver and passengers of the Suburban, residents of Rockwall, Texas, were uninjured.

I think the parents of this kid should be jailed for contributing to the injury of a child. This is the 2nd time this kid has had problems at this intersection. Obviously the kid and his parents aren't very bright. Stupid is as stupid does.

every intersection is dangerous when someone runs a stop sign. it doesn't have to be an ATV. I fully understand that ATV's are illegal on the road, (another point, how can ATV's be manufactured and sold if they are illegal and unsafe?) and in my neighborhood, golf carts are legal and they are 10 times more dangerous.

Dave...lighten up on KXII. What difference does it really make who careflighted him? KXII does a great job 24/7 and they deserve kudos for staying on top of newsworthy events. I, for one have seen too many stories like this one and wish the parents would wake up and realize these machines are not toys and educate their children on responsible driving and the rules of the road....

ATV's are not designed to be driven on roadways, nor is it legal. Too many parents think that since you are in the "country" it is safe to drive them on the streets. Too many ATV owners do not follow the recommended age requrements or require their children to wear protctive gear. There is a false sense of security since they have four wheels. I hope the young man does not suffer any long term effects from his accident and hopefully he will slow down and drive more safely in the future.
