CARTER COUNTY, Okla. -- Four men were arrested in Ardmore after a routine traffic stop off Interstate 35 revealed thousands of dollars in stolen payroll checks.
The checks were discovered under a seat when officers searched the vehicle. Those men claimed to live in the Dallas area, but investigators believe they may be in this country illegally.
The checks were from a janitorial services company based in Birmingham, Alabama.
All four men are in the Carter County Jail on $40,000 bond each.
