BONHAM, Tex. – Bonham police are chasing a suspect on the loose, in the area.

Bonham Police Chief Mike Bankston says officers got a call that a suspect in a stolen 2003 tan Ford Ranger out of Arlington might be in the Bonham area just after 6:20 Tuesday night.

One officer saw a truck matching that description and ran the license, which came back as that of the stolen vehicle.

Chief Bankston says the driver sped off toward an animal shelter a few blocks south of Highway 56 in southeast Bonham.

An officer chased him, but the white male driver took off on foot into woods.

Chief Bankston says they do have a suspect and are attempting to get a warrant for him.
