DURANT, OK - A man and woman on a stolen motorcycle led police on a high speed chase through Durant last night.
Police say they tried to pull over 23-year-old Cody Hughes around 5:30 p.m. at North 1st and West Main, but he took off, leading officer on a pursuit down North 1st Avenue that reached speeds of 130 miles per hour. Hughes tried to drive through a field at Highway 48 and Highway 78. That's where police caught up with him.
Both Hughes and his passenger, 21-year-old Tara Payne, were taken to MCSO for minor injuries before they were booked into the Bryan County Jail.
