LOVE COUNTY, Okla. -- A Ringling High School teacher is facing charges for resisting arrest and public intoxication. Robin Dillon was in a Love County courtroom on Monday.

Dillon pleaded no contest to the misdemeanor charges that go back to an August incident at Lake Murray.

Prosecutors say Dillon was at Lake Murray, allegedly with two high school students, when an incident with a park ranger occurred.

For both counts, Dillon received a deferred sentence, but will pay fines and court costs.

A drunken teacher taking care of kids resists arrest at a state park. That's the story. And a whole bunch of you are trying to convince the rest of us what a wonderful person she is. ROFLMAO.

You know I used to work with people at Lake Murry, yes the rangers do what suits them at the time. And as far as anything like the drinking goes I work at a PD if I drink I have that right to do so I am over 21 and i also have 5 kids that dont mean i am a bad parent and my kids friends all want to come over my house. So for the ones that are bad mouthing her you are probably jealous that you wernt invited. you were stuck in the pathetic little mud creek town.... SHE IS ONLY HUMAN...If I had to deal with your bratty kids I would drink too....

"wondering" needs to retire then! Probably one of those cops that doesnt get out of his car except for coffee!

i have been harassed at lake murray myself...there is no doubt in my mind that this story got blown way out of proportion by the time it got through those chicken$&%#@ rangers and the media, and all the judgemental jerks

To clarify, the rangers at lake murray are STATE officers. They have statewide jurisdiction, not federal. And ex-cop, do you think the ranger knew that woman was a teacher at a local school when most of the campers are tourists? Not to mention the fact it took place late at night... It's simple, don't be drunk in public and this wont happen. surely even former cops can agree on that???

Wondering might have been a cop before you were a twinkle in your daddy's eyes. Hmmm.

to excop, looks to me like "wondering" at 0856 WANTS to be a cop but cant! ROFL!

Posted by: Ex-Cop on Oct 10, 2008 at 11:18 AM
To "wondering about ex cop" whatever dude, try to sound cool for all your other cop buddies. The reason i left is so i could be at home more with my children, and the pay sucks lol!! Not that its any of your business though. All im saying is that some officers, (including myself when i first started) want to make a name for themselves and love to find a reason for an arrest, especially a higher profile arrest that will make the news. Get over yourself and dont worry about why i left law enforcement mmmmk?

Oh everyone seems to think that all the park rangers do is chase after Yogi Bear but in reality they are FEDERAL COPS; which means they can pull you over no matter where you might be! DUH!

Sounds to me as if she went camping with her family and maybe her kids had some friends with them. Then she had some beer, which alot of people do when they go camping. I think the headline made it worse than it really was.

There are some people that just seem to forget that teachers are people too. They enjoy having a beer just like the rest of us and they should not be critisized for that. Now with that said, if she was giving the kids alchol, then she should be in trouble for that.

EX-COP: You sound quite bitter. Couldn't cut it in the profession and had to leave? Misconduct maybe?

Just wondering if just wondering is yogi bear at lake murray ?

Glad I know this about this teacher now. My child won't be going to her house either. It doesn't matter if she said NO to the cops at Lake Murray. She shouldn't of been drinking at all with these kids. I would of been MAD if it were my kid she was drinking with. Good thing it wasn't. She wouldn't need to worry about what was gonna happen with the law. Thats if all this is true. And YES, she still has her job.

Thou mouth runneth away like you. Glad you're an Ex-Cop.

This teacher has children, one in Jr.High. Of course, children hang out there. When my children were in school, kids hung out at our house. Do children not hang out at yours? All you have to do is know Robin's children to know they do not live in the environment described by ringling parent. Robin is a wonderful parent, has wonderful children, who excel in every area. There have been no other run in with the law,and no mischief goes on at her house. She did nothing wrong for this run in. It was exactly as excop stated below, and she was not with 2 high school students at the lake as she was allegedly accused. She was camped with friends and her children. Did you know that one beer is considered public intox and don't go more than 10 feet from your camp. People need to read the rule book before going to Lake Murray. You won't find me there.

This is not this teachers first run in with the laws and underage drinking, there have been other incidents. The problem with this situation is the fact that these students won't tell the truth when questioned by authorities. My son is in junior high and you can bet when he gets in High School he will not be attending any functions held at this teachers house. There are always kids hanging out at her house and a lot of mischief going on there.

Did she keep her job? Just wondering

Posted by: ex cop Location: carter county on Oct 9, 2008 at 04:08 PM
Yeah right, I know those park rangers. She probably said "no" and they considered that resisting arrest. Can we say robo cops? This teachers career is probably in jeopardy now because a young buck "lake security guard" wanted to look cool arresting someone in front of a crowd, then typed up some BS story in his report to stick the resisting arrest!!!!! As far as pleading no contest....probably not a bad idea youre guilty until proven more guilty in love county!!!!

Here we go again. I can hear all of the role model gibberish and venom being spewed toward people of the teaching profession already.

Posted by: m Location: ardmore on Oct 9, 2008 at 01:45 PM
i don't believe she got was she deserved. If it was anyone else they would have had jail time what is wrong with you people she was drunk and than resisted arrest. As a teacher she should be a better role model than that.

What's a drunk high school teacher doing hanging around with a couple of kids? That's just wrong. Were the kids drinking too?
