GRAYSON COUNTY, TX -- A Bells man is facing kidnapping charges after a woman and two children were taken from their home at gunpoint on Wednesday just west of Sherman.

Authorities say 32-year-old Mark Allen Henshaw kidnapped a woman and her two children from her home, pointed a gun at the woman, and sexually assaulted her in front of those children.

Deputies say the victim in this case was related to Henshaw at one time.

Grayson County deputies found Henshaw on State Highway 56 and found the gun as well as drugs in his vehicle.

Henshaw faces drug and weapons charges, as well as aggravated assault charges.

Grayson County Sheriff's deputies say this is not the first time Henshaw has been accused of crimes like this. They say he was arrested for sexual assault back in 2007 involving the same woman as in this case.

I agree with the last message too i know him personally too and yes he is a wonderful man he would not hurt a fly.. I know the lady too and she has said this stuff before and she admited she lied so what does that tell you people that think yall know so much.. I know him personally and he is a wonderful man and if you dont know him you should keep your stupid comments to your self its crazy how a women can just scream anything and someone will believe them even when it may not be the truth i dont see why someone would want to hurt a man so much and ruin his life and possibly take his kids away...

Grayson county is horrible about prosecuting sexual assaults. Without witnesses or signs of physical assault,the usually police let it go because it is hard to prove ie. it takes a lot of work). Sexual assault exams only prove that someone had sex. They can not determine consent. Unless the people are strangers,it becomes a he said / she said situation. I would be willing to be this is what happened in 2007. They probably did not believe her. I have seen this so many times it makes me sick. Sexual assault victims can not even get protective orders in Grayson County. Law enforcement needs to get serious about sexual assault, but if you ask some of the high ranking law enforcement officials they will tell you that sexual assault is not a problem in Grayson County. I would like to see them tell that to this poor lady.

I am sure he is waiting for his parents to bail him out - as they always have. This is a prime example of never learning there are consequences for your actions. No charges were filed in May 2007 for the same offense, so why not do it again?? He is trash! I can't imagine how a person could do what he did to begin with but to scar your children for life? SICK!

I feel bad for the lady and the children for whom i know and they are such sweet people. But for him to treat you this way I would have never known. I haven't seen or heard about this guy in a few years. Guess he was out slummin and assaulting people. He is a big guy, so she probably couldn't fight back. Dirt bag. I am so surprised we haven't heard the comment, OH YOU JUST DON'T KNOW HIM THAT WELL. Yep I know him and I hope he finds him someone in jail that likes him just as much. And yep, he should have never bonded out. He is sick, sick, sick and I hope he is punished really good.

maybe if he had been indicted already on the first charge back in march 2007 then he might have thought twice before doing this again. as of his last incident, he had only had to post bond and not really endure much punishment so he probably thinks he got away with it the first time, why not do it again? i know grayson county can move faster than that.
