DENISON, TX -- TX-DOT crews are milling the road on Morton Street and Armstrong Avenue in Denison. Officials say they chose this area because cars were having difficulty getting into their driveways because of the thickness of the pavement.
"As the pavement gets thicker and thicker, it hampers the drainage in the gutters, and it hampers the driveways. There are a lot of scenarios like this around the county and around the state so whenever funds are available and we get the programs to put the projects together we do all that we can," TX-Dot area engineer Kevin Harris says.
Officials say they hope to begin repaving the area next week.
