PARIS, TX -- One of the two men arrested in Paris yesterday with firearms in their vehicle near a local bank has admitted to police they were going to try and rob an armored car.
Officer Matt Birch of the Paris Police Department tells First News that police investigators and FBI agents were able to get a confession out of one of the suspects that the two men had targeted an armored car near this bank on South Collegiate Street.
The two men-- Richard Earl Davidson (pictured), a convicted felon, and Shawn Michael Blue-- were taken into custody yesterday when a retired Paris police chief noticed suspicious activity near their vehicle yesterday morning.
