The change in leadership in the city of Sherman is coming sooner than expected. Acting City Manger Giles Brown says he is now leaving City Hall for a position at Grayson County College.
The news comes just days after Brown was appointed to take over for former City Manager Scott Wall. Brown says he's accepted the position of Vice President for Business Services at the college. His last day with the city is set for March 20th.
A special city council meeting is being planned for Monday to discuss the search for a permanent city manger.
Brown is scheduled to begin his duties at the college the day after he leaves City Hall.
