Timothy Whitmore, the man accused of causing an injury accident while driving drunk, was sentenced to 10 years in prison for intoxicated assault and another 15 years for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon today in his second trial.
On Monday, Whitmore plead guilty to charges of intoxication assault and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Two young men from Denison, Justin McKenzie and Chase Ward, were injured in the accident on Texoma Parkway in Sherman back in 2005.
Whitmore was previously convicted for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon for McKenzie. The sentencing phase this week was for the second passenger in the accident, Chase Ward.
In November, Whitmore was handed the maximum sentence for DWI, 20 years in prison, for the first passenger.
Whitmore was sentenced to a grand total of 55 years for both crimes. However he will be eligible for parole for the first time in 2017.
