Sherman shooting suspect surrenders

SHERMAN -- Jo-Quinn Lathan, the man responsible for this weekend's shooting in Sherman turned himself in this morning.

Lathan turned himself in at the Grayson County Jail around ten this morning.

Sherman police had been looking for Lathan ever since Saturday afternoon.

Police say Lathan and the victim, James Earl Nelson (left), got into an argument when Lathan jumped out of the car and shot nelson in the neck. Lathan and another man then drove off.

Officials say they were following leads and were surprised that he turned himself in.

Lathan is charged with attempted murder.

New sports complex coming to Ada

Posted: 1:43 PM - ADA, OK -- Recreation lovers will soon have a new venue to take advantage of. The Ada City council is moving forward with the construction of a new sports complex, a project that will be funded by the "Penny for Our City" sales tax.
