The Grayson County NAACP hosted a candidate forum Saturday.
Candidates running for both Denison and Sherman City Council were on hand, including current Sherman Mayor Bill Magers and City Councilman John Markl.
Each candidate presented a short opening statement, followed by a question and answer session between them and the people who attended. Organizers say it was a great way to get everyone on the same page.
Joe Ann Perkins, NACCP Branch President says, "You can not fix anything that's broken if you don't know what the problem is, so we come together to get to know each other better and find out what the problems are. Get together and solve them."
Elections will be held May 12, 2007.
