Ada man arrested for fraud
Posted: 9:18 AM - ADA, OK -- An Ada man has been arrested for allegedly cashing a check from the bank account of a Sunday School class.
A Madill man is facing first degree murder charges in a 24-year-old Oklahoma City murder case.
Oklahoma City police arrested Tim Alex Forbes, Sr., 58, at his home in Madill on Friday.
DNA evidence links him to the stabbing death of Oklahoma City prostitute Tammy Gastineau in the Oklahoma Publishing Company parking lot on August 22, 1983.
Forbes was working as a truck driver for Oklahoma Publishing Company the night the 23-year-old was murdered in the company's parking lot.
Police say he failed a lie detector test shortly after the murder, but police couldn't tie him to the crime until now.
Detectives began looking into the case again about four years ago and obtained a search warrant to get Forbes' DNA sample earlier this month.
Locals say Forbes has lived in Madill for 10 to 15 years.
The court clerk says formal charges are still pending.
