SHERMAN -- Fifth grade students at Dillingham Elementary brought history to life this afternoon.
Paula Parker's fifth grade students will recreate the Battle of Stagecoach Road from the Civil War.
It is the twentieth year that they have been reenacting battles.
Mrs. Parker says she started the program to help students get more interested in historical events.
Re-enactors from Paris and Gordonville are on hand to help teachers, excited to recreate the past.
The battle took place on the fields off Gallagher Road this afternoon.
