SHERMAN -- Polls opened in Texas on Monday for the upcoming May elections.
County clerks say the state switched systems for voter registration, using an electronic program that slowed down voter registrar's offices statewide.
In Grayson County, they chose not to use the system in the actual voting process but to manually look up registration records instead.
In Lamar County, the records were not showing up in the system, but every registered voter should be able to cast their ballots.
Texas Secretary of State Roger Williams has said the new system isn't what the state envisioned it to be, but they're working around the clock for the May 12th election.
