If you're headed to the mailbox, you'll want to take some extra change to mail those letters and packages. Starting Monday, the rate for stamps jumps to 41 cents.
The U.S. Postal Service typically allows a little leeway when rates change, and there's something new this time.
What they're calling the "Forever Stamp," they also sell for 41 cents a piece, and these are valid forever. Rates are also changing for odd-shaped packages and other parcels, including a price break on items like heavier letters like wedding invitations.
Despite the deadline, officials say you shouldn't see a flood of letters sent back for insufficient postage.
