Ardmore educators moving ahead with renovations to Charles Evans Elementary

Board members Tuesday night approved changes tonight to phase one plans, including the addition of a bus loop and other amenities.

Those features were originally part of the failed phase two bond package.

Experts say the changes in climate affect how kids learn.

"I think what's best for the kids is to create the best environment possible, with best facilities, technology, curriculum, teachers and put it all together," said Dr. Bill Osborne, the ECU Dean of Education.

The renovations are expected to be finished in time for the start of classes in the fall.
