Jacklyn Chester/Plainview 4th Grader:
“Thank you for keeping our country safe from bad people, it must be hard being away from family.”
Dylan Woods/Plainview 4th Grader:
“I bet it's cool in Iraq, scary I'd rather be in the ground than air."
Paige Rychlik/ Plainview 4th Grader:
“Thank you for guarding our country, thank you for always being there.”
Karlie Naifeh/Plainview 4th Grader
“You're doing a good job keeping our country safe.”
Victoria Archer/Plainview 4th Grader:
"Thank you for keeping me out of harms way."
Sarah Growall, whose dad is in Iraq:
"He calls on Sunday, emails a lot."
Mikaylan Downing/Plainview 4th Grader:
“I know it's a sacrifice for you to leave family."
The assignment was part of General Motors letter writing campaign.
The students' letters will be collected at Brad Fenton Motors in Ardmore, and then sent on to Iraq.
