Making an activity out of healthy summer snacks for kids

BRYAN COUNTY, Okla. -- The Bryan County Jail and its funding woes are in the news again. This time the pain is related to medical costs.
The jail trust authority met on Monday, and one of the items on the agenda is providing more affordable medical care for inmates.
Jail administrator Jon Kidman says most local doctors won't see inmates in their clinics, so inmates are taken to the emergency room, meaning higher medical bills the county has to cover.
Commissioners say they're hoping for a more cost-effective solution.
"If we sign a contract with this local medical company that's willing to do so, it would be $3,000 a month, which we think in the long run will save the county money," says Bryan County Commissioner Monty Montgomery.
Currently, inmates don't pay any medical costs, and the county cannot charge the inmates for the bill unless ordered by a judge.
