CARTER COUNTY, Okla. -- An Ardmore man who police say confessed and was convicted of raping a 16-year-old girl was found guilty for a second time on Tuesday.
The guilty verdict came down Tuesday morning in the re-trial of Acea Pickens, 28.
He was convicted last year on three counts of rape by instrumentation and was sentenced to 16 years in prison.
His attorneys appealed on the grounds the court did not make it clear he would serve 85 percent of that sentence and won.
He faces life in prison and will be sentenced in July.
