High water rescue in Denison

DENISON, Tex. --Flash flooding trapped one Denison woman in her minivan Wednesday night.

It happened just south of Loy Lake Road on the Highway 75 west service road in Denison.

Michelle Frazier says it was so dark she never saw the water across the road until she hit it.

She says water poured through the closed doors of the minivan and was waste deep inside her vehicle.

Luckily, Frazier had her cell phone with her and called 9-1-1.

Within minutes, Denison firefighters had her out of the car.

Grayson County deputies also responded. They say the water on the service road was about three feet deep.

Other areas in Denison reporting flash flooding Wednesday night were Highway 69 toward Bells and Crawford Street near Lillis Lane.

No reports of any injuries in the flash flooding.
