Sherman kids kicking the summer blues
SHERMAN -- With the never-ending rain, children across the area are battling the doldrums, having been stuck indoors for most of June.
That doesn't seem to bother the kids in the Sherman ISD’s Summer Enrichment Program. On Thursday, they took center stage showing off their musical talent.
The program coordinator, Melda Avila, says they've have been practicing everyday this month.
"I just keep hearing about how excited they are about what they've learned, and it just continues."
Students will also learn cooking and have fun with the arts as well.
