DENISON -- It was a Fourth of July celebration fit for a President in Denison today sponsored by local veterans. The family-friendly event took place at former president Dwight D. Eisenhower's Birthplace.
Local bands The Little Big Iron and Justin Hunter played. Families could also tour the house where the 34th President of the Unites States was born.
Veterans of Foreign Wars were recognized for their service to our country.
"I brought my buddy, everyone knows him, and he’s a World War II 317 tail gunner. We did it for them. Those guys that gave us our freedom,"
The park closed at five to give people time to head over to Munson Stadium to get ready for the 20th annual fireworks show tonight.
