ARDMORE, Okla. and WHITESBORO, Tex -- Calling all hot rod fans! The great race is coming through Texoma from Ardmore to Whitesboro.

The Great American Race is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, and racers from all over America, driving anything from classics to hot rods are roaring into downtown Ardmore for a few hours.

The race started in Concord, North Carolina, and after traveling some 1,200 miles, fans have a chance to see some cool cars.

"The fact they are stopping in Ardmore is special to us because they could be going any route and miss us. We're just proud they are coming through Ardmore," said Ardmore Main Street Promotions director Gary Stephens.

Organizers say there will be over 70 cars there.

From there, they will head to Whitesboro, Texas.

They'll stop at Trollinger Park in Whitesboro Friday afternoon. You can come by and see some of these hot rods. And join cruise night later Friday evening.
