SHERMAN – They saved numerous lives when floods rained down on North Texas. Now the High Water Rescue Team in Sherman is answering the call to help others who may need them as they were placed ‘on alert’ as of Friday.

They were put on stand-by by the State of Texas to be deployed in the case of any more flash flooding.

The chief said if they're called, seven members of the team will be deployed to Corsicana, then probably to East Texas with more rain expected there.
