DENISON, Tex. -- Texas District 62 Representative Larry Phillips took some time Friday afternoon to explain the recent legislative session to folks in Denison.

Phillips met with several community leaders and touched on everything lawmakers discussed in Austin, including more funding for state parks and the addition of a new district court in Grayson County.

Phillips says feedback from all the community’s different viewpoints is vital to trips like these.

"You have to work a coalition with other members that have like problems and also take some feedback from the local residents here, judges, commissioners and mayors to work together to address these issues," said Phillips.

Phillips was also in Bonham Friday morning for Judge Darryl Hall's resigna
