Dozens without power in Denison after car crashes into power line

LAKE TEXOMA -- At Grand Pappy's Marina, buildings are underwater, the restaurant closed and most buildings are without electricity, making it an inconvenience for dedicated customers.
"We came last night for dinner and it wasn’t open I was afraid it would be I knew the dance floor down there would be flooded and it certainly is," said long-time visitor Shirley Shell.
The Army Corps of Engineers says it will take about a month for Lake Texoma to get back to normal. After all, it is 20 feet above normal and when it does crest Monday at 640.26, businesses on the lake can start repairs from all this flooding Mother Nature has left behind. But to add to the headache, the marina's losing thousands of dollars because the summer months are usually their busiest.
"We didn't come up on the fourth of July I knew the cat walks were all covered with water we couldn’t get to the boats," says Alex Shell, a long-time visitor.
Grand Pappy's marina manager says the damage to their restaurant is minimal compared to others on the lake. It's unclear how long it will take to get it up and running again, and customers like Shirley Shell remember the last time the restaurant flooded back in 1990.
"We've been coming to the restaurant since the day it opened practically...we watched them build it," says Shell.
Saturday marked the third time in history Lake Texoma has gone over the spillway. The first time was in 1957; the second in 1990.
