SHERMAN- Several Sherman residents were woken up early Thursday morning by the sound of a flood siren.
The flood alarm at Archer Street went off just before six o’clock Thursday morning. Sherman fire officials say it’s due to a system malfunction.
The siren is triggered when waters rise, but in this case water was not rising, and the alarm sounded for nearly 12 minutes.
Officials say crews are working on the problem and hope to correct it Thursday afternoon.
