ARDMORE, Okla. -- Police are investigating an aggravated assault case which sent one man to the hospital Saturday morning.

Ardmore police say the incident happened early this morning sometime after 7 o'clock on the 700 hundred block of 1st and Park Street.

Authorities are not releasing specific details about the person in the hospital, but the victim is listed in critical condition.

Neighbors say the victim is a man and the thought of a vicious crime like this happening so close to home worries them.

"I was kind of worried because they said he was dead but now they are saying he’s not that’s better but its still not right you can go other ways doing stuff, you just have to watch what your doing," said one neighbor.

Authorities do say two juveniles and one adult have been arrested in connection to the crime.

First off this was a horrible crime, being accidentle or not. I am the first to agree that someone should pay for it. I dont appreciate the fact that alot of the details are being kept from the public ear and the public eye. For one thing if you want to help your brother Jason you need to turn yourself in and face the music, because as of right now your brother is going to be prosecuted of a crime that apparently you were in on. Another problem of mine is since when did a person trying to help a situation get insiuated in on it. My father Bruce and Steve have been good friends over 15 years. Steve knew my dad and his brothers for what seemed like a lifetime. My dad is hurting behind losing a friend and to be charged in connection with his murder is totally unfair and unjust. For the police to listen to some stories but not others is very tragic, and I dont think that they understand that what my daddy is going through will only deter people in the future from wanting to help someone in need for the fear of being insinuated in the crime. To steve's family; I agree that someone needs to pay for this, but not just anyone, the one(s) who committed the crime, I dont believe that a man who is innocent and did not committ this crime should be punished for being at the wrong place at the wrong time. I dont know if you need it or not but my family and I will be here if you need a hand to hold or a shoulder to cry on.
