GRAYSON COUNTY, Tex. -- Sherman city leaders are asking for public input on a new jail. The Chamber of Commerce is holding a town hall meeting to hear public comments on the need for a new jail in Grayson County.
A group of consultants have already recommended a new facility due to overcrowding and projected growth in the county.
"I think it would be a good thing for everybody to come out, ask questions, see the presentation that our county judge has for us, and be able to voice their concerns as well," said Sherman Chamber of Commerce president Traci Norton.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6 o’clock Tuesday evening at the Municipal Building in Sherman.
