Tishomingo woman rescued after falling into well

TISHOMINGO, Okla. -- After falling into a well, a Tishomingo woman was in a hole for more than 16 hours until rescue workers found her Saturday afternoon.

They say 73-year-old Dorthy Williams was doing some yard working, clearing some weeds around an old well. While she was working Dorthy took one step back too far and fell into the well. Luckily it wasn’t that deep, but she was unable to pull herself up. A little after 1:00 Saturday afternoon, a mail carrier heard her cry for help and called 911.

Dorthy is doing just fine she was treated for dehydration and released.
