Ada man arrested for fraud
Posted: 9:18 AM - ADA, OK -- An Ada man has been arrested for allegedly cashing a check from the bank account of a Sunday School class.
The McKinney Police Department is investigating what appears to be a murder/suicide. It happened shortly after 6:30 Saturday morning at the Shell station at in the 4900 block of El Dorado.
The on-duty clerk at the Shell store, 26-year-old Brad Evans of Van Alstyne, was found dead by an apparent gunshot wound. The suspect, whose ID is still unclear, apparently shot himself and was taken by care-flight to Parkland Hospital where he later died.
The crime is currently under investigation. Robbery does not appear to be the motive, it appears that the suspect knew the victim.
