MARSHALL COUNTY, Okla. -- The Lake Texoma Lodge and the Pointe Vista deal could be complete as soon as September of this year. On August 23, state tourism officials and Pointe Vista officials will meet and finally close on the land that has been in limbo for almost a year.

The deal was for around $300 million, but the project is now estimated at $500 million.

There will be several acres that don't have a clear title, but everything is expected to be finalized within the month.

Pointe Vista should start construction sometime this winter.

No project can single handedly save a community. However, you obviously haven't been to Madill lately. Close it? Hardly, Madill is growing and going strong! Idiot.

Isn't this the project that will single handedly save Marshall County from the bowels of destruction? I got news for you folks, you better find another source of income for your citizens & county. This will not be the "Cash cow" that everyone thinks it will be. Haven't they closed Madill yet? They need to!
