SHERMAN -- A 19-year-old in Sherman is lucky to be alive after driving off an embankment Wednesday morning.
It took place in the 300 block of West FM 1417 just before four o'clock Wednesday morning.
According to police, the teenager lost control, drove off a thirty-foot embankment, and then landed in a railroad ditch, hitting a rail car.
Amazingly he was able to walk away to a gas station to call for help. He did suffer head injuries and had to be flown to Parkland Hospital in Dallas.
Neither the teen’s name nor his condition have been released.
