WILSON, Okla. -- Firefighters in Carter County have been busy over the past two weeks, fighting fires they believe were intentionally set.
As of Monday, several homes and trailers houses, along with an old Head Start building right next to the Wilson Elementary School, have been the target of what authorities believe to be the work of an arsonist.
Authorities say the leads they have aren't significant, but they are looking for a vehicle and a suspect believed to be related to the arson.
A suspect dressed in dark clothing was seen leaving in a dark pickup at a high rate of speed was spotted around 11 p.m. on Saturday night at the Head Start building.
Wilson has a small, all-volunteer department and a small police force. Wilson police chief Felix Hernandez says these are difficult cases to work for such a small community with the available manpower, but they are important and are a top priority.
If you have any info, please contact the Wilson Police Department at 580-668-2136.
All callers will remain anonymous.
