BONHAM, Tex. -- One man is dead after his plane crashes just after take-off.

Bonham city officials say they haven't dealt with a plane crash like this in quite some time. Now they want to find out what caused it to go down.

Authorities received the call around 7 o’clock Wednesday morning. When they arrived on the scene they found the body of Ronnie Wren, 61, along with what's left of the plane he was flying.

Investigators with the federal aviation administration were called on to the scene shortly after and have finished their preliminary investigation.

FAA officials say wren took off heading north bound when he made a hard right attempt to come back to the airport.

That's when officials say he lost control of his experimental Sonex aircraft.

Bonham city officials say this is the first crash within the city limits in the last 15 years, and there are still some questions left to be answered.

"When we get the call, we come up and find all the facts first, then we go out and search for stuff like that," said aviation safety inspector Oscar Thomas.

FAA officials say the exact cause of the crash should be determined in the next couple of weeks.

All those who knew Wren say he will be missed.

Ronnie, I looked up to you the minute I met you...you were just the kind person I wanted to be. In the short time I knew you, you taught me how to live and I grew to love you like a father. Your death has left a tremendous hole in this world that can never be filled. Your family will NEVER stop missing you. I don't know if there is a life beyond this one, but I HOPE there is...I would love to see you again. If there is something beyond this, you are certainly one of the few of us who deserve to make it to the other side. Until then, I'll see you in the clouds my friend and tutor...Stacy

Words can not express what it feels like to lose a great friend like Ronnie Wren. He always loved life, loved his hobbies and loved his family. He will be missed and remembered by so many people.

I think everyone should just take a minute and think of the man who died. Not some stupid map or video. I worked for Ronnie and he was a great man. He would fly over the motel I managed, and my son loved it. He helped me in more ways than he ever knew. Thank you Ronnie!! You are always in my thoughts and your family will alway be in my prayers. We will miss you!

Ronnie was my first cousin. We didn't see each other that often, but it was always fun to be around him. When we were little, he was full of such mischief that we were always in trouble! What a little round dumpling he was. I know he will be missed by all who knew him.

Guys & Gals, someone was recently killed due to an unwanted plane crash, he left behind many friends & family and was loved by many as well. I think instead of arguing about a dumb video or getting rid of a map, I think we should all be thankful that no one else was in there with him at that time & that no one else was hurt & take a moment & share your thoughts & prayers with the family that you know. I know his son Casey & I know that his daddy will be missed dearly. I send all my thoughts & prayers to the family. I am terribly sorry to hear the loss in the family.

My thoughts and prayers go out to his friends and Family. May they be blessed with the strength it takes to handle such a tragic event.

Casi: It doesn't look like to me Annoymous is the one that is rude. I was wondering what maps and videos has to do with this story.

Is it just because it's anonymous e-mail that people seem to think they can be rude as all get out?
