Ardmore campus update
The Ardmore Higher Education Center has narrowed its choice down to two institutions.
City officials tell us both Southeastern State and East Central are in the running.
Higher education officials are expected to make a final decision in September.
Ardmore leaders have been working on the plan for a 4-year college for several months, and just last month made the decision to build on thirty acres at Regional Park.
New nursing program
Mercy Memorial Hospital and Oklahoma City University are teaming up to bring a four-year bachelor of nursing program to Ardmore.
Hospital officials say it's a win-win situation. They will help pay students' tuition, and then have a large recruiting pool of local nurses to choose from.
The Ardmore Higher Education Center is also looking at starting a BRN program that will partner with a local college.
Both programs are in the planning stages.
They could be announced as early as September.
