GRAYSON COUNTY, Tex. -- The tri-county Meals on Wheels program for senior citizens has a new executive director. The organization's board of directors named Kathey Scott to the position during their monthly meeting Wednesday afternoon.
Scott was the foster grandparent program manager during her time at the Texoma Council Of Governments and says she wants to make it easier for seniors in need to get the meals they deserve.
Board members have been working to get residents across Cooke, Fannin, and Grayson counties the services they need, and Sherman mayor Bill Magers says she will help them do that.
"We have streamlined some financial operations, we've done some things at the corporate level, if you will, and Kathy’s job is to execute those down through the field, and we're very excited to have her on board," Magers said.
Scott replaces Sandra Wagner, who resigned last month.
