FANNIN COUNTY, Tex. -- Authorities are cracking down on the war against drugs in Fannin County as they made yet another bust.
Sheriff's deputies collected more than 1,000 marijuana plants from an open field Thursday morning.
Officials say growers usually plant the drug in August and September, so they teamed up with the DEA's office and searched the county by air.
They say the property owner was unaware the plants were on his land and cooperated.
Sheriff Kenneth Moore says about $75,000-$80,000 worth of marijuana was collected.
