Prattville, Alabama police say Aaron Dale Thomas was cleared of harassment charges. He was arrested at Prattville High School parking lot on Monday.

Police say they dropped the misdeamor charges, but are continuing their investigation.

Police initially said Thomas drove 700 miles from Sherman to Alabama to see a ninth grade girl. On Friday Thomas told KXII he was on a roadtrip visiting friends, and Prattville was just one stop along the way.

I agree with anonymous from below. This is the simple minded thinking that we deal with in the Texoma region "lock him up and let the inmates deal with him". What would Jesus do? My bet is, he would love the individual, and guide him in the right direction, not abandon and curse the individual. I do agree that this is a horrible atrocity, but no sin is greater than another in the bible. I will pray for him, and hope that he seeks help.

I was not condoning this in any way, shape or form in my posting below. Of course this is one of the worst things that a person can do, but I was posting that because people were posting things about his hair and and making light of the situation. Karen: I said he needs help and prayer, not just prayer. I also said that "being made fun of is part of the reason he has chosen the wrong path (although no excuse)". I just thought I would clarify.

Leaving Sherman, TX and going to Alabama to meet with a middle school girl is disturbing - at least. I don't care how many times he was made fun of - that is no excuse to take a 700 mile road trip to possibly have sex with a girl that would be 13 - 15 years old. Anonymous - he not only needs pray, but needs to help himself. We all have free will. karensopinion@gmail.com

Anonymous, being picked on is no reason to harass a young girl. This pervert needs to be taught some tough lessons and needs to realize that young girls are to be left alone.

Please do not make jokes toward this article. I'm sure he looks at it and it only makes things worse. I've known this guy since high school and he was picked on badly, and that is part of the reason (although no excuse) why he is gone on to the wrong path. He obviously needs some help, and should be prayed for.

I hope that the next young girl doesn't come to any harm. There will be another one and this guy needs to be stopped now.
