LAKE TEXOMA, Okla. -- Are you headed to the lake for Labor Day weekend? For a lot of folks, it will be the first boat trip of the year. Ryan Loyd went out on Lake Texoma to give you an idea of just what you'll find on the water.

Sherry Williams at Catfish Bay Marina says the lake is ready for one of its traditionally biggest weekend of the year.

"We’re ready. I think everybody's ready."

After lake levels rose over 20 feet above normal on Lake Texoma earlier this summer, lake business owners know Labor Day will just not be the same, but Sherry and Bill Williams know that June’s flooding remains a powerful reminder of how much was lost, and how much there's still left to clean up. This summer changed everything.

"We saw a lot of high water that closed campgrounds and launching ramps, but not like this," Sherry Williams, Catfish Bay Marina.

As Mother Nature dries out what was a flooded lake, the Williams are looking forward to a peaceful but busy holiday weekend at their marina.

"Labor Day's always not quite as busy as the Fourth of July, but I’m sure this year it'll be great."

Texoma Flood ‘07 is gone, but it'll never be forgotten.
