Hunters everywhere take note- dove season in Texas begins Saturday.
Officials with the Texas Game Warden's Office say this year the dove report looks spotty. Most years, there is a large concentration of the birds in southeastern Grayson County.
Officials want to make hunters aware of three important things:
-anyone hunts must have a hunters license when out in the field
-make sure to put in a shotgun plug
-stick to the bag limit of fifteen doves per day
Game warden Dale Moses explains, "Shooting hours end at sunset, not at dark, so be sure to check and see when the sunset is tomorrow afternoon and get your hunter education."
The season runs through October 30th.
